The Equations dialog box includes syntax checking to avoid errors and reduce the time you spend on troubleshooting mistakes.
When you enter text into the
Name and
Value/Equation columns, the text color varies depending on these conditions:
- Valid global variables, features and dimensions appear in blue.
- Incomplete and invalid text displays in red.
- Potentially invalid text, for example text that may include a circular reference, is displayed in yellow. A yellow warning icon is also displayed in the row.
- Valid operators, functions, and other inputs appear in black.
Positioning the cursor over the yellow or red text displays a warning message. Clicking the warning icon displays a What’s Wrong window describing the issue or error.
