CommandManager in Large Design Review

The Large Design Review tab of the CommandManager provides access to commands that you can use when you open an assembly in Large Design Review mode.

To open an assembly in Large Design Review mode:

  1. Click File > Open.
  2. Optional: 3DEXPERIENCE Users: If the Open from 3DEXPERIENCE dialog box appears, click This PC.
  3. In the dialog box, in Mode, select Large Design Review.
Insert Components Inserts components into an assembly.

Available when you select Edit Assembly.

Mate Creates mates between components and use geometry types as mate references.

Available when you select Edit Assembly.

Component Preview Window Displays a component independently from the assembly.
Linear Component Pattern Creates a linear pattern of components.

Available when you select Edit Assembly.

Circular Component Pattern Creates a circular pattern of components.

Available when you select Edit Assembly.

Add Walk-through Creates and saves videos of what you see as you maneuver through the assembly.
Measure Measures the distance between vertices, edges, and faces in the assembly.
Section View Displays the model as if cut by planes that you specify. You can select one or more of the three standard planes to section the model.
Take Snapshot Captures the state of the graphics area, similar to a custom named view. Saves the state in a Snap feature on the DisplayManager tab of the Manager Pane. Unlike a custom named view, if parts are hidden when you take a snapshot, those parts are always hidden when you return to that snapshot.
Filter Modified Components Adjusts the transparency of unchanged components. When you enable Filter Modified Components and then you edit and save a component in a separate window, the changed component remains opaque in the assembly window. The unchanged components become transparent.
Filter Modified Components is available only when one or more components have been modified.
Show Hidden Components Displays hidden components and hides shown components in the graphics area.
Selective Open Fully loads selected components. Other components are not loaded and become hidden. The software exits Large Design Review.
Selective Open in Lightweight Loads selected components as lightweight. Other components are not loaded and become hidden. The software exits Large Design Review.

Available when Manually manage resolved and lightweight modes is selected in system options. To select this option, click Tools > Options > System Options > Performance.

Set All to Resolved Fully loads all components and exits Large Design Review.
Set All to Lightweight Loads all components as lightweight and exits Large Design Review.

Available when Manually manage resolved and lightweight modes is selected in system options. To select this option, click Tools > Options > System Options > Performance.

Performance Evaluation Reports assembly statistics like the number and type of components, and the depth of the assembly hierarchy. Performance Evaluation diagnostic tests are not available in Large Design Review.
Configurations Lists configurations that have the Display Data mark .

To view, right-click in the CommandManager and click Toolbars > Configurations . A list of configurations with the Display Data mark appears in a toolbar above the CommandManager.

You can add the Display Data mark to models that are not updated for compatibility with the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. For information on updating models, see Updating Models for 3DEXPERIENCE Compatibility.
