Sub-Type Rule Definition Dialog Box

You can create rules to group parts and assemblies before mapping the groups to physical products and representations.

After creating these rules, you use the Configuration Mapping Rule Definition dialog box to specify if the parts and assemblies are physical products or representations when you update the model.

To open the Sub-Type Rule Definition dialog box:
  1. Tools > Options > System Options > 3DEXPERIENCE Integration.
  2. Click 3DEXPERIENCE Integration Rules Editor.
  3. In 3DEXPERIENCE Integration Rules Editor, click Add .
Sub-Type rule description Describes the sub-type rule.
If the following condition is met Specifies conditions for the rule.

Click Add to create a condition.

When you have multiple conditions, you can select All or Any.

Select an input:

Filename

Specifies an operator and a file name.

Custom Property

Specifies a property name, an Evaluated Value, an operator, and a value.

Is Sheet Metal Part

Options are Yes and No.

Available for parts.

Is Weldment Part

Options are Yes and No.

Available for parts.
Operators for Filename and Custom Property:
  • contains
  • does not contain
  • is
  • is not
  • starts with
  • ends with

Use Add and Delete to create and remove conditions.
Assign the sub-type Specifies the sub-type name.
