Using Change Action as Authoring Context

You can use a change action as an authoring context.

You can search and select an existing change action, and start using it in your app. You can pause or stop the use of the change action whenever you want and select a change action that is in the In Work state.

To Select a Change Action

You can select a change action from the Product Structure Editor to track the modifications in an object.

  1. Click (icon) and click Change Action.
    The Select Change Action dialog box appears.
  2. From the list, select the required change action.
    You can also search for the required change action and sort the list by due date.
  3. Click Ok.
    You can click (icon) to view the title, name, and description of the active change action.
(icon) changes to (icon).

To Deactivate a Change Action

You can deactivate a change action temporarily or permanently, so that you can work on the same object without tracking the modifications.

  1. To temporarily deactivate the change action, click (icon) and click the toogle.
    You can click the toggle option again to start using the same change action.
  2. To remove the change action, click (icon) and click (icon).
    When you stop using a change action temporarily, (icon) changes to (icon).
