Miscellaneous settings specify how CMM Data Import interprets and reports anomalies in CMM output files.

To display this dialog box:

  1. In the CMM Data Import pane, click Settings .
  2. In the Settings dialog box, select a template and click Edit .
  3. In the CMM Template Editor dialog box, click Misc.
Page Dividers Specifies page divider information contained in the CMM output file to remove from the Step Ahead report. You can also specify Lines.

For example, PC-DMIS adds header information to each page of the CMM output report. To ignore these headers, enter the information to ignore, such as PART NUMBER=.

Ignore duplicate notes Ensures that identical notes across samples are not duplicated in the report.
Remove carriage returns from Feature names Eliminates the carriage return for CMM output files that have long feature names that span a second line with a carriage return.
Advanced carriage return Removes carriage returns from the CMM output file.

Select this option for software types (such as MeasureMax) that contain extraneous characters at the end of text lines, including extra hard or soft carriage returns and extra spaces.

Notes\Title Action Specifies what happens for section notes and titles that are not identical across samples:
  • Append. Appends strings from different notes together.
  • Ignore. Ignores reports with the first note encountered and ignores all other sample notes.
  • Overwrite. Overwrites reports with the last note encountered.
OK Markers Specifies words that designate in- tolerance conditions for attribute results reported as manual entry items in the CMM output file.

For example, OK or PASS.

Reject Markers Specifies words that designate out-of-tolerance conditions for attribute results reported as manual entry items in the CMM output file.

For example, NOT OK or REJECT.

European number format Specifies a number separator.
