Software Specific - PC-DMIS

Software Specific PC-DMIS settings define the CMM output-specific settings for PC-DMIS only.

To display this dialog box:

  1. In the CMM Data Import pane, click Settings .
  2. In the Settings dialog box, select a template and click Edit .
  3. In the CMM Template Editor dialog box, click Software Specific.

The settings in this dialog box correspond to the template you selected.

PC-DMIS reports many different types of measurement as an M axis. M represents a linear dimension or a GD&T feature. For example:

Extract measurement info from M axis Specifies CMM Data Import to examine the feature name information from the CMM output file to determine the measurement type.
Measurement Types Specifies the feature identification reported in PC-DMIS after the dimension id for the associated measurement type.

For example, if PC-DMIS reports DIM FLAT1= FLATNESS, enter FLATNESS for Flatness.
Unilateral -Tol. = 0 Designates unilateral features as unilateral. Enter each feature name, separated by commas.

PC-DMIS inserts 0.0000 for the unilateral dimensions rather than leaving the +Tol empty.
