Installing the Inspect with SOLIDWORKS Inspection App

You can install the Inspect with SOLIDWORKS Inspection app from the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.

Prerequisites:
  • 3DEXPERIENCE credentials
  • A web browser
  • The 64-bit version of the Java 11 JRE component or later
  • A full product installation of SOLIDWORKS Inspection 2022 SP0 or later

    The Inspect with SOLIDWORKS Inspection app is only available for SOLIDWORKS Inspection Standalone.

To install the Inspect with SOLIDWORKS Inspection app:

  1. Close SOLIDWORKS Inspection.
  2. Log in to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
  3. On the top bar of the 3DDashboard, click the Compass .
  4. Under Me, click Inspect with SOLIDWORKS Inspection.
  5. Follow the prompts to download and install the 3DEXPERIENCE Launcher and more add-in components.
    The components available to you depend on your platform roles. They download sequentially, so keep your browser window open and watch for prompts.
  6. To use the Inspect with SOLIDWORKS Inspection app for the first time:
    1. Return to the 3DDashboard in your browser.
    2. Click the Compass , click Inspect with SOLIDWORKS Inspection, and log in.
