After
the model is ballooned, you can edit the characteristics in the Bill of
Characteristics.
To modify characteristics:

In the
SOLIDWORKS Inspection Manager
, on the
Characteristic Table tab, right-click
a characteristic and click an option:
Option |
Description |
Zoom To Selection |
Zooms to the selected characteristic. |
Grouping |
(Available if you select multiple characteristics.) Select:
- Group.
Renumbers the characteristics and balloons to create
subballoons.
- Group with shared
balloon. Renumbers the characteristics and
creates a single balloon for all selected characteristics.
- Ungroup.
Ungroups grouped characteristics.

Selected for Inspection |
Excludes the characteristic from ballooning or
exporting. |
Key |
Makes the characteristic a key characteristic. These
are characteristics whose variation has a significant impact on the
quality of the part. |
Classification |
Specifies the classification of defects, such as
Major, Minor, Critical, and Incidental. |
Method |
Specifies the inspection method, such as Digital Calipers or Scale. |
AQL |
Specifies the Acceptable Quality Level. In most
cases, inspecting all parts produced is impossible or too costly. AQL
tables are statistical tools that determine how many samples need
inspection and specify the limit between acceptability and
refusal. |
