Ray tracing is a technique for rendering 3D scenes. Ray tracing traces the path of every ray of light from its source until it either leaves the scene or becomes too weak to have an effect. The term also applies to the reverse method: tracing the path of every ray of light from the camera back to the light source.
PowerBoost (available only with SOLIDWORKS Visualize Professional) provides a render mode that streams ray tracing directly to your Visualize Viewport. An Internet connection is required, and a multi-GPU machine for a Visualize Boost computer or an NVIDIA Quadro VCA is recommended for the best performance.
