Connection labels are symbols that display information specific to the
cabling of the device. This specificity also means that you can insert them outside a scheme
drawing or a line drawing (drawings of terminal strips, reports, or 2D layouts).
A connection label is a representation of a device in terms of connections. You cannot
represent a component with a connection label unless it has a manufacturer part associated
with it.
Connection labels have specific attributes that propagate the material terminals numbers, the
equipotential numbers, or wire numbers, the cable core and cable marks, the destination symbol
marks, and the position of the symbols in the scheme drawings.
Connection labels are associated with the scheme symbols by their mark (the same mark as the
symbols) and must be associated with a manufacturer part.
A connection label can be the
representation of a manufacturer part (single device) or a component (one or several
symbols, one or several manufacturer parts). This distinction is made during
insertion.
