You can update the database with lengths of wires and cables, as specified in the custom properties of assemblies.

To update wire / cable length:

In the menu, click Tools > SOLIDWORKS Electrical > Update Wire / Cable Length .

Search 'Update Wire / Cable Length' in the SOLIDWORKS Knowledge Base.
