Cross References Configuration

The Cross references configuration file groups together all the parameters required to draw the thumbnails representing cross references.

Do one of the following:
  • Click Electrical project > Configurations > Cross references > Properties .
  • In the dockable panel, right-click an electrical project and click Configurations > Cross references > Properties .

General

Lets you name the configuration and enter a description in all software languages.

Style

  • General

Lets you allocate a color to the various type of circuit (used, available, whether contained or not in the manufacturer part). Click in the column where the number of the color is displayed to open the palette of available colors.

    • Visible circuit Type: Hides or shows the circuits placed in reserve (not used in the scheme).
    • Default representation: Select a mode (Table, Parent in Line, or None) for use on all the symbols for the electrical project when the cross references levels have been set to Use default configuration.
    • Always use default representation: Lets you use the default configuration on all symbols for the electrical project whatever their cross references level setting.
    • Text between cross references: Enter the text that separates two cross references texts.

Parent in Table (for Example a Coil)

  • General
    • Distance between columns: Indicates the distance between two columns of thumbnails.
    • Distance between elements: Indicates the distance between two thumbnails.
    • Maximum height: Indicates the maximum height of the column. If the value is exceeded, a second column is created.
    • Use title block offset: If this option is selected, cross references thumbnails are drawn in the area defined by the title block parameters and Distance to symbol is disabled. Otherwise, the cross references thumbnails are located near the symbol (like Parent in line) and you must enter a value in Distance to symbol to define the distance between the symbol and the cross references thumbnails.
    • Distance to symbol: Indicates the distance between the symbol insertion point and the cross references thumbnails.
    • Mark: Parameters of the text using the component mark displayed above the set of thumbnails.
    • Terminal numbers: Parameters of the material terminal numbers.
    • Symbol cross references: Parameters of the text elements giving the drawing number and column number where the symbol is located.

The X and Y position of the cross references block in the drawing is configured in the Title block properties. For more information, see Title Block Properties.

Parent in Line (for Example a Circuit Breaker)

  • Space between lines: Indicates the distance between two lines of thumbnails.
  • Distance between elements: Indicates the distance between two thumbnails.
  • Maximum width: Indicates the maximum width of the line of thumbnails. If the value is exceeded, a second line is created.
  • Use title block offset: (Available if the electrical project uses Imperial units.) If this option is selected, the cross references thumbnails are drawn in the area defined by the title block parameters and Distance to symbolis disabled.
  • Terminal numbers: Parameters of the material terminal numbers.
  • Symbol cross references: Parameters of the texts giving the drawing number and column number where the symbol is located.

Symbols

Lets you associate a cross references thumbnail with each type of circuit. These thumbnails are symbols, and they have connection points and attributes allowing the numbers of the material terminals to propagate.
