You can view, add, edit, or delete dimension styles from the list of
available styles.
- Click .The Dimension style manager dialog box
opens a displays the dimension styles you can use in a DWG file or an
electrical scheme.
- In the Dimension style manager dialog box, click to do
the following:

Set as current |
Defines the selected dimension style as current in
the DWG file (or electrical
scheme). |
New |
Adds a new dimension style. A dialog box lets you
name the dimension style and select the basic existing
style. |
Modify |
Modifies the selected dimension style parameters. A
dialog box opens displaying all dimension style
settings. |
Compare |
Compares two dimension styles. |
Delete |
Deletes the selected dimension style. You cannot
delete a dimension style used in the DWG file (or
electrical scheme). |
When you select a new current dimension style, all commands
that add dimensions to the active file use this style. Dimensions you
update by clicking change to the new current dimension style. Define
dimension styles for each document. The list of available styles can
differ in files and electrical projects.
Create a New Dimension Style
You can create a new dimension style.
- Click .
- In the New dimension style dialog box, specify the following:
- New style. Defines the name of the new
dimension style. This name must be unique in the DWG file (or
electrical scheme).
- Copy of. Select an existing dimension file.
All settings for this existing dimension style are copied in the new
dimension style.
When you close the creation dialog box, the Dimension style
edition dialog box lets you modify the dimension style
parameters.
Modify an Existing Dimension Style
You can edit and preview an existing dimension style. You can also set the parameters
of a new dimension style.
- Click .
- In the Edit dimension style dialog box, specify the
following options:

- Dimension line. Defines
the color and thickness of the dimension line. The
Baseline spacing parameter is not yet implemented.
- Extension line. Defines
the color and thickness of the extended lines. You
can also manage the position and the length of
extended lines.
- Arrowheads. Defines the
size of the arrows.

Text |
- Text appearance. Defines
the color, style, and height of the text using the
dimension value.
- Text placement. Defines
the position of the text using the dimension
value.
- Text alignment. Defines
the alignment of the text using the dimension
value.

Adjust |
- Fit options. Optimizes
the dimension placement.
- Adjustment. Defines small
dimensions.
- Dimension object scaled.
Defines the scale factor assigned to the dimension
objects.

Main units |
- Linear dimension. Defines
the precision and separator for linear dimensions.
- Measurement scale.
Defines the scale factor for all dimensions (real
value x scale factor = displayed value).
- Angular dimension.
Defines the measurement mode and precision for
angular dimensions.

Compare Dimension Styles
You can compare two selected dimension styles.
- Click .
The Compare dimension styles dialog box
opens and shows the differences between two selected dimension
styles.
- Select the two dimension styles you want to compare. The dialog box shows items
that are not identical.
