This topic explains the options in the Function Properties
tab. The dialog automatically opens during the creation of a new function.
To access the
Function Properties, do one of the following:
- Click

- Right-click a location outline and click Function
properties

Mark
The function mark is automatically calculated according to the electrical
project settings. For more information, see
Mark.
- Mode:
- Automatic:
The mark is automatically calculated according to the configuration
settings.
- Manual: Enter
the mark manually in the Mark
setting.
- Mark: Displays the
automatic mark or used to enter the manual mark.
- Root: Displays the
root associated with the functions (F).
- Number: Displays the
order number assigned to the function. You can change this number but you
cannot use an existing number.
Hierarchy
- Parent: The name of the main function, which a child
or sub location is dependent on.
- Associated book: Associates a function to a book.

Description
The first translatable data of the function. You can enter a description in all
languages managed in the electrical project.
User Data / Translatable Data
The user data is available across the entire electrical project. It is used to store
personal information, which can be displayed in the drawings. There are two types of
user data: translatable user data (translated during project translation), and
non-translatable user data.
The default function applied to drawings
is taken from the location applied to the book that the drawings are created
in.
Use Customize... to access the user data settings displayed in
function properties.
