Inserting Ducts

You can insert and specify cabinet ducts.

Open the layout drawing for the location of the cabinet. The manufacturer parts allocated to the cabinet, ducts, rails, or accessories appear in the dockable panel.
  1. Insert ducts using one of the following methods:
    • Right-click the rail reference and click Insert as duct .
    • Double-click the duct reference.
If a symbol is associated with the manufacturer part, it is inserted. If no symbol is associated, a generic symbol (EW_2D_Duct) is inserted using the manufacturer's dimensions.
  2. To insert another symbol or edit a symbol:
    1. Click Other symbol to select another symbol different from the suggested symbol.
    2. Select the angle of rotation of the duct and adjust the direction of the insertion of the 2D footprint. Click the insertion point in the graphic interface.
  3. Optional: Select Hide background to place elements behind the new element.
  4. Enter the length in the dockable panel text field, or click a second point to set the length.
  5. Optional: Copy the duct.
Copying a duct that already exists in the graphical interface automatically creates a new duct, identical to the original.
  6. Optional: Right-click the duct reference and click Add duct.
    1. From the manufacturer dialog box, select a new reference.
    2. Confirm the selection to insert the duct.
