Inserting Terminals

You can use the Insert terminal command to insert terminals.

When you use this command for the first time, the symbol selector dialog opens to let you select the symbol that you want to insert. This symbol is saved, and is available when you next use the command.
  1. Click Schematic > Insert Terminal .
    The dockable panel displays the following options:
    Icon Description
    Pins the command so that it remains active after you first use it.
    Stops the command after you use it to insert a symbol.
    Ends the command.
  2. Select the symbol representing your terminals.
    The symbol selector displays a filtered list of terminals. Select the terminal symbol.
    If the default symbol is not the one you want, click Other symbol.
  3. Symbol orientation: Lets you rotate the symbol before insertion. You can also right-click to select the angle of rotation.
  4. Click on the drawing to insert the terminal.
    If the terminal is inserted on a wire, define its orientation with respect to cables.
    The Terminal Properties dialog box appears.
