Modifying Terminal Numbers

You can update the terminal numbers using the Edit Terminals or Edit Symbol Terminal commands.

  1. To modify terminal numbers, do one of the following:
    • Right-click a symbol and select Edit symbol terminals .
    • Component properties > Manufacturer part and circuits > Right-click a circuit > Edit terminals .
    • From PLC management, right-click a channel and click Edit terminals .
  2. In the dialog box, specify the following options:
    Option Description
    Circuit Indicates the circuit number.
    Index Indicates the order number in the circuit.
    Mark Enter the number of the material terminal. By default, the number of the material terminal is provided by the manufacturer part associated with the component.
    Orientation Allows you to specify the orientation of the connection point, specifically for the terminals.
    Wire termination type Allows you to select or to change the termination type associated with the component terminal.
    Max wire number Enter the number of wires or cable cores that is connected to the material terminal.
    Mnemonic Enter a channel mnemonic (PLCs).
    Utilization Allows you to enter free text. This is propagated in a specific attribute of the connection point.
    Maximum wire section (mm²) / Minimum wire section (mm²) Enter the section on the terminal device.
