Version |
Copies the latest version
of the file from the archive server to your vault. For folders, lets you

Undo Check
out |
Cancels a checkout without saving
changes. For folders, lets you select files whose checkout you want to
cancel. |
History |
Files only. Opens
the History dialog box, which
shows the version history of the selected file.

Change
State |
Applies selected state transition to
file. State transitions are defined in the current workflow layout, for
example, Submit for Approval or No Approval Required. For folders, lets
you select files to transition. |
Change
Category |
Admin login can change a category of a
checked in file. |
Notify |
Sets up notifications. For folders,
lets you select files about which to send notifications. |
Tasks (SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional only) |
Invokes tasks set up by your
administrator. |
Cut |
Lets you move the selected file in the
vault by cutting it from one folder and using Paste or Paste
Shared to paste it to another folder. The file remains in the original folder until it is pasted to
another folder.
The move is stored with the
file's history.

Copy |
Copies the latest version of the file
from the vault. Changes being made to a file checked
out by another user are not included in the copy.

Paste Options |
Paste
|
When the paste buffer contains a file that
has been cut, Paste
moves the file to the paste location. When the file has been
copied, Paste creates
a copy in the new location and checks it out to you.

Paste Shared (SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional only)
|
When a folder is selected, creates a shared
copy of the pasted files in the folder. Changes to a shared copy affect all other
instances.
|
Paste as Reference
|
When a checked out file is selected, adds
the pasted files as references. You can
remove the pasted references by using the Edit user-defined
references option on the Contains or Where Used tabs.

Delete |
Moves the selected file to the
SOLIDWORKS PDM recycle bin. The Confirm File
Delete dialog box displays a warning if the file is
referenced by other files.
To delete a file,
you must have delete permission for the folder and workflow state
the file is in.
Users with permission to
recover files from the recycle bin can recover the file from the
Deleted Files tab of the
folder's Properties dialog
box.

Rename |
Selects the file name so you can
change it. If the renamed file is referenced by other
files, the new name is recognized.

Properties |
Reports the properties of the selected
file vault view or folder in SOLIDWORKS PDM. |
Find
Similar in EXALEAD OnePart |
Initiates a 3D similarity search for the selected
file.
Available only:
- For SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional.
- To users who have configured EXALEAD
Onepart.
- For part type file formats.
