You can
import a CAD file's properties to populate the bill of
materials.
To import bill of
materials data from the CAD file's properties:

In the Table
Manager, on the Bill of Material tab, click Import CAD document property/parameter
.
In the Properties/Preferences PropertyManager, on
the Select CAD Document Properties tab, all of the file's
properties appear.

In the PropertyManager:

Ctrl+select
the properties to include in the BOM and click
.

Right-click each column header to map the data to the
correct field and click .
The data appears in the Bill
of Material tab.
