Creating a Flange To create a flange part: Create a component that meets the geometry requirements for a flange. Create a connection point where the pipe exits the flange. The connection point must be: Concentric with a circular edge of the flange. At the correct depth inside the flange (if the pipe or tube extends into the flange). Optionally, you can include a specification parameter so you can filter configurations. Create a route point (optional). The route point enables you to: Terminate a route with the flange. Place flanges back-to-back within a route. Insert a design table to create configurations. Save the part in the Routing library specified in Routing File Locations. When a flange is used as an end fitting in a route, its position can either drive or be driven by the position of the route sketch. See Mating in Routing Subassemblies.
