When
saving
a part, assembly, or drawing document, you can edit and then save the locations and names of
referenced files.
If the file name exists in the new location, you are prompted to
confirm that you want to replace the part.
Before you begin:
- Click .
- Optional: 3DEXPERIENCE Users: If
the Save As New dialog box appears,
click Save to This PC.
- In the Save As dialog box:
- Specify options.
- Select Include all
referenced components and click Advanced.
The
Save As with References
dialog box opens.
You can access the
Save As with References
dialog box from the Add to
Library PropertyManager.
To edit locations and names of referenced files:

In the Save As with References dialog box,
edit the path or file name by using one of the following methods:
- Double-click a cell to change the name or path.
- Click Find / Replace to find and
replace text in selected cells.
- Double-click a cell in the Folder
column.
- In the Specify folder for selected
items
section, enter a new path or click Browse to specify a location for selected cells in the
Folder column.
- For selected cells in the Name
column, add the text to the beginning or the end of the selected items. In
the Modify selected names section, select Add prefix or Add
suffix and enter text. Then, click
Apply.
Text in changed cells
becomes green. To undo changes, right-click the cell and select
Undo Change.

- Include virtual
components
- Include Toolbox
parts
- Include broken
references
- Select other options:

Saves copies of the documents with the new name or path and does not replace
the active documents. You can continue to work in the original
