If a SOLIDWORKS part or
assembly file has multiple configurations, when you save the file as a Composer file, you
can choose which configuration to save to the Composer file.
You can save only one configuration to the Composer file.
To
choose a configuration to save to a Composer file:

Open a part or assembly with multiple configurations and click
Save As
(Standard toolbar) or
.
- Optional:
3DEXPERIENCE Users: If the Save As New dialog box appears, click Save to This PC.

In
the dialog box, in Save as
type, select SOLIDWORKS Composer
(*.smg) and click Save.

In the Save Configurations to
SOLIDWORKS Composer file dialog box, select an option:
- Current
Configuration. Saves the active configuration with the
Composer file.
- Selected
Configuration. From the list, select a configuration to save
with the Composer file.

Click OK.
