When you import a SOLIDWORKS model that has multiple display states, the
model's active display state is assigned to the
physical
product.
When you insert a component into an assembly, the component uses the display state assigned
to the
physical
product.
You can view the display states for a physical product on the
ConfigurationManager:
CAD Family
tab.
The following table explains the behavior when you import a SOLIDWORKS
model to the
3DEXPERIENCE
platform.
Scenario |
Behavior |
Import a part with one
configuration |
Assigns the active display
state to the Physical
Product. |
Import a part with multiple
configurations |
For linked display states, assigns the active
display state linked to each configuration to the Physical Product or
Representation.
For unlinked display states, assigns the
active display state for each configuration to the
Physical Product
or Representation.
|
Import assembly with one or
more configurations |
The behavior is similar to
parts. For the referenced component's display states, assigns
the display state referenced by the parent assembly to the
Physical
Product. |
