Complex Corner PropertyManager

To open the Complex Corner PropertyManager:

  1. Open a model that includes three or more intersecting members.
  2. In the FeatureManager design tree, expand Corner Management .
  3. Right-click Complex Corner Group and select Edit Feature.

In the graphics area, each blue handle on the model represents a corner group. When you select a blue handle, the corner group highlights in the PropertyManager.

Corners

Lists corners or groups of similar corners.

Similar Corners

Group Similar Corners lets you group similar corners and apply a corner treatment to the group. You can add or remove corners from a group.
Similar Corners is available when you select a corner from the list.

Corner Treatment

Select to include the corner treatment.

  Corner Treatment Enables the corner treatment.
  Trim tool member Defines the tool body for all other members. Conforms the intersecting member to the shape of adjacent faces by adding or removing material.
  Moves the body member Up to Body Trim or Down to Planar Trim.
Body Trim Lists all the bodies to be trimmed.
Planar Trim Cuts the intersecting member with a plane.
  Trim Order Increases or decreases the trim order of the members.
  Planar trim options Select Full Contact planar trim or First Contact planar trim.
  Trim Tool Automatic trims the target based on the selection of planar trim options. User Defined lets you select the face or plane to trim.
Full Contact planar trim Default planar trim option. Trims the member flush with adjacent faces.
First Contact planar trim Planar trim option. Trims the member when it first comes into contact with adjacent faces.
Gap Adds a gap between members at specific corners.
  Allow Extension Select to extend or trim structural members. Clear to allow only trimming. When using this option, verify the preview carefully to ensure that the results are correct.
