3D XML Files

You can export SOLIDWORKS models in 3D XML format, a universal lightweight format for 3D.

To export documents in 3D XML:

Click File > Save As.
Optional: 3DEXPERIENCE Users: If the Save As New dialog box appears, click Save to This PC.
Select 3D XML For Player (*.3dxml) in Save as type.
Click Save.

Search '3D XML Files' in the SOLIDWORKS Knowledge Base.
