Creating an Angle Mate with a Reference Entity

To create an angle mate with a reference axis:

  1. Verify that the two entities to mate are constrained directly or indirectly using concentric, coincident, parallel, or distance mates.
  2. Click Mate (Assembly toolbar) or Insert > Mate.
  3. In the PropertyManager, click the Standard tab.
  4. For Entities to Mate , select two entities in the graphics area or the flyout FeatureManager design tree.
  5. Under Mate Type, click Angle and specify the dimension.
  6. Do one of the following:
    • Click Auto Fill Reference Entity .
    • Select a face or edge in the graphics area that is perpendicular to the two mated components.
  7. Click .
