Managing Decimation on a Graphics Mesh Body To manage decimation on a graphics mesh body: In the PropertyManager, under Facet Reduction, enter either: Option Description Percentage Reduced By A percentage of the total number of facets Reduced Facet Count A whole number based on the total number of facets When you enter one of the values, the tool calculates the value of the other. Optional: Enter a Maximum Error Tolerance . This option sets the maximum deviation tolerance between the original and resulting mesh. Increasing this value allows for more notable decimation. Click Calculate. A progress message reports decimation status and closes when the process completes. A preview of the decimated body appears.
