  • You can access an ISwDMComponent12 object by calling QueryInterface on an ISwDMComponent object in C++ or by direct assignment in Visual Basic.

  • The ISwDMComponent object can be cast to an ISwDMComponent12 object by assignment, just like the SOLIDWORKS IModelDoc2 object can be assigned to a SOLIDWORKS IPartDoc variable.
