Electrical Project Management

You can access Electrical Project Management from the Home tab.

General

The All tab shows all the electrical projects. The Recent tab shows only the recently accessed projects.

Color and Style Description
Blue and Bold When the electrical project is shown in blue and bold, it is present in the Pages tab of the dockable panel and at least one drawing is open. It is the current electrical project.
Blue When the electrical project is shown in blue, it is present in the Pages tab of the dockable panel but no drawing is open.
Black When the electrical project is shown in black, it is absent in the Pages tab of the dockable panel and no drawing is open.
Red When the electrical project is shown in red, it is open on another workstation.

Commands

The commands available help to manage the projects. By default, the electrical project descriptions are displayed in the software language. If you want to display them in another language, select it in the list available in the ribbon.

Command Description
New Creates a new electrical project. For more information, see Creating a New Electrical Project
Unarchive Restores an existing archived electrical project. An option allows you to open the electrical project after unarchiving it. For more information, see Unarchiving an Electrical Project
Open Opens the electrical project selected in the electrical project explorer (dockable panel). For more information, see Opening an Electrical Project
Preview Opens the electrical project drawing in the electrical project viewer. For more information, see SOLIDWORKS Electrical Viewer
Set as current Sets the selected electrical project as current. The electrical project must be in the Pages tab of the dockable panel. For more information, see Setting an Electrical Project as Current
Close Closes the selected electrical project. For more information, see Closing an Electrical Project
Archive Archives the electrical project selected. The electrical project must be closed. An option with a wizard allows you to archive the electrical project by specifying the options. For more information, see Archiving an Electrical Project
Duplicate Copies the selected electrical project. For more information, see Duplicating an Electrical Project
Save as template Creates a new project template. For more information, see Creating a Project Template
Delete Deletes the selected electrical project. For more information, see Deleting an Electrical Project
Properties Opens the properties of the selected electrical project. For more information, see Electrical Project Properties
Configuration Configures the columns displayed in the Electrical project management. For more information, see Configuring Columns
Filters Activates the filters to help you find an electrical project. For more information, see Filtering Electrical Projects

These commands are also available in the contextual menu of the electrical project.

Specific commands for the document management system (PDM) may be present in the Electrical project management, depending on which software and licenses you are using.
