The leader styles editor
groups all the properties of a leader style. It lets you enter the parameters of the lines,
the symbols, the texts, or the blocks.
To open the
Leader style editor dialog box, do one of the following:

When you modify the Leader style properties, all the leaders inserted in the file (or
scheme) using this style can be impacted by the changes.
You can individually change the properties of a leader text element or a leader block
inserted in a file (or scheme) using the Properties dockable panel.
This impacts only the selected leader.
The leader style lets you set the parameters by default. Create a leader style with all the
parameters by default and modify the inserted leader text (block) using their properties in
the dockable panel.

Name. Lets you enter or change the
name of the leader style. |
Appearance |
- Scale. Specifies the scale of the
overall leader that affects arrowhead and content
scale.
- Type. Lets you select the line
type to use to draw the leader:
- Invisible. The lines are
hidden.
- Straight. The lines are
straight.
- Spline. The lines are
curved.
- Color. Lets you select the color
of the leader. In the palette, select the color or use
the By Block or By
Layer option.
- Linetype. Lets you select the
line type of the leader. In the list, select the line
type or use the By Block or
By Layer option.
- Line weight. Lets you select the
line weight of the leader. In the list, select the line
weight or use the By Block or
By Layer option.
- Number of segments.Lets you enter
the number of lines to compose the leader (including the
line with the arrow).

Landing parameters |
- Add landing. If this option is
activated, a leader line landing is automatically added
to the leader.
- Specify landing distance.
(Available only if the Add
landing option is activated.) Select
this option and define the landing line in the next
parameter. If you clear this option, the length of the
landing line is defined by the user during the
insertion.
- Landing distance. (Available if
you select the Add landing option
and clear the Specify landing
distance option.) Enter the length of
the leader line to be used.

Arrowhead |
- Symbol. Leta you select the
symbol you want to place at the extremity of the first
line (at the first point you click when you draw a
leader).
- Size. Lets you enter the size of
the symbol.

Lets you select the color of the text. In the palette, select

Attachment type |
Defines how the text is inserted with respect to the leader.
- Horizontal. The text is inserted
in the extension of the final line of the leader.
- Vertical. The text is inserted
inside or outside the final line.

Left attachment |
Lets you define the position of the text relative to the
final line of the leader, when the text is localized on the
right of the final line. The options available take account of
the Attachment typeselection. |
Right attachment |
Lets you define the position of the text relative to the
final line of the leader, when the text is localized on the left
of the final line. The options available take account of the
Attachment typeselection. |
Landing gap |
Lets you enter the space between the extremity of the end
line and the text. |
Text frame |
When this option is selected, SOLIDWORKS Electrical draws a
frame around the text. |
