Editing 2D Footprint Graphics

A 2D footprint in the library consists of two parts: a graphical representation, and a set of technical parameters stored in the database. You can complete the editing using 2D Footprint management to let the software manage the 2D footprint.

1. Click 2D Footprints management > Open .
   Select Keep the dialog opened to keep the management dialog box open. When the dialog box is open, you can resize it and close it manually.
   Opens the selected 2D footprint in a graphical interface. The following changes are also displayed:

   • The ribbon menu changes when the editor opens.
   • The Edit symbol menu appears.
   • The dockable panel changes to display the symbol properties.
2. Do the following to manage the symbol.
   1. Specify the Insertion point management options.
   2. Specify the Attribute management options.
3. Save the changes.
