Hole Callout Settings

Use the Hole Callout screen of the Toolbox - Settings dialog box to configure the details for symbol or traditional callouts you add to the holes in your drawing.

To open the Toolbox - Hole Callout dialog box:

  1. Do one of the following:
    • On the ribbon, select Mechanical Content > Settings.
    • On the menu, click Mechanical Content > Settings.
    • On the Mechanical toolbar, click Settings .
  2. In the Toolbox - Settings dialog box, click Annotations > Hole Callout.

To modify hole callout settings during creation:

  1. Do one of the following:
    • On the ribbon, select Mechanical Annotate > Symbols > Hole Callout.
    • On the menu, click Mechanical Annotate > Symbols > Hole Callout.
    • On the Mechanical toolbar, click Hole Callout .
    • Type AM_HoleCallout.
  2. In the command window, type Settings.

General

Option Description
Symbols Displays callout dimensions in geometric format in accordance with ANSI standards.
Traditional Displays callout dimensions in textual format, using the Style you select under Text.

If you select Traditional, you can also select:
  • Description. Adds a description of the hole to the end of the callout.
  • Add. Adds the symbol on the left side of all required values that reflect a diameter.
Count Holes At the beginning of the callout, reports the number of instances of the hole to which you add the callout.

Text

Option Description
Style Sets the text style used in callout.
Text styles you have defined are available in the drop-down list. The default text style is Standard.
Size Sets the font size of the callout text.
Decimal places Sets the precision of the calculations in the callout.
Show leading zeros Adds leading zeros to each callout value.
Show trailing zeros Adds trailing zeroes if a value in the callout requires fewer decimal places than the number specified.

Access

Toolbox - Settings dialog box: click Annotations > Hole Callout
