Command -AM_Layergroup
Use the -AM_Layergroup command to manage layergroups and layergroup properties.
It is the command line variant of the AM_Layergroup command.
To manage layergroups and layergroup properties:
- Type AM_Layergroup at the command prompt.
- Specify an option:
- Press Enter.
Note: You can use the -AM_Layergroup command transparently.
Layergroup Options

Shows a list of layergroups. |
| Make |
Creates a layergroup and makes it current. You are prompted to specify a layergroup name. |
| Set |
Specifies the layergroup to make current. You are prompted to specify the layergroup name. You cannot make current a frozen layergroup. |
| New |
Creates a layergroup. You are prompted to specify a layergroup name. |
| Freeze |
Freezes layergroups, making entities on them invisible. |
| Thaw |
Thaws frozen layergroups, which makes objects on them visible and available for plotting. |
| Lock |
Locks layergroups which prevents editing of entities on them. |
| Unlock |
Unocks layergroups which allows editing of entities on them. |
| LColor |
Changes the LineColors associated with layergroups. You are prompted to specify a color name or color number. |
| LStyle |
Changes the LineStyle associated with layergroups. |
| LWeight |
Changes the LineWeight associated with layergroups. |
| Rename |
Renames alayer group. You are prompted to specify the layergroup to rename and a new name. |
| Selection set |
Selects all the entities on the specified layergroup as part of a selection set. Use the Previous option when promted to specify entities in a subsequent editing command to apply the selection set. |

Highlights all entities on the layers you specify. |
