Editing Detail Views

At any time, you can modify the detail view scale and identifier, change the position of the detail boundary.

Use the AM_DetailEdit command to modify detail view properties.

When you move or resize the detail boundary using grip points, the corresponding detail view becomes invalid. To update the corresponding detail view, double-click its border.

To edit a specified detail view:

  1. Do one of the following:
    • On the ribbon, click Mechanical Content > Details > Detail View > Edit.
    • On the menu, click Mechanical Content > Details > Detail View > Edit.
    • Type AM_DetailEdit.
  2. In the graphics area, specify an element of the detail view.
  3. In the Edit Detail dialog box specify the properties of the detail view, such as scale and label.

    Alternatively, you can double-click the detail boundary or the detail view Label to open the Edit Detail dialog box.

  4. Click OK.

Menu: Mechanical Content > Details > Detail View > Edit

Ribbon: Mechanical Content > Details > Detail View > Edit
