User Properties - Branch Exclude Folders

Use the Exclude Folders tab of the Properties page to exclude users from branching files from selected folders.

To access the Exclude Folders tab:

  1. Display a user's Properties dialog box by doing one of the following:
    • Expand Users and Groups Management > Users and double-click a user.
    • Expand Users and Groups Management, then right-click Users and select New User.
  2. In the left pane, click Branch.
  3. Click Exclude Folders.

Vault Folders

All vault folders are listed in the tree.
  • Select a folder to which you want to apply exclude folders option. The exclude folders option applies to the folder and all of its subfolders.
  • Expand folders to apply exclude folders option only to a subfolder.
  • If you select the vault itself, the options you set apply to all folders in the vault.

Exclude Folders

Exclude from branch Excludes files in the selected folders from any branch operations.
A icon is displayed if the permission is assigned based on the user's membership in a group. Hover over the icon to view the groups from which the permission is granted to the user.
