Version Tab

The Version tab lists information about the file in your local vault including the version and state.

A warning is displayed if you do not have the latest version of the file on your local hard disk drive.
Version tab information lists a file's:
Workflow The workflow assigned to the latest version of the file.
State The state assigned to the latest version of the file.
Days in state Number of days the file has been in the current workflow state.
Category (SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional only) The category assigned to the file.
Latest version The most recent version of the file in the vault.
Latest version comment The comment added when the latest version of the file was created.
Revision (Latest version) The revision assigned to the latest version of the file.
Latest revision The most recent revision of the file in the vault.
Version (Latest revision) The version assigned to the latest revision of the file.
Latest revision comment The comment added when the latest revision of the file was created.
Local version The version of the file in the local cache.
Local version comment The comment added when the cached version of the file was created.
Revision (Local version) The revision assigned to the cached version of the file.
Last historic workflow The last workflow assigned to the cached version of the file.
Last historic state The last state assigned to the cached version of the file.
Branches (SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional only) All branches that are associated with the file.
Replicated to (SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional only) Archive servers that have a copy of the latest version of the file.

Icons on the Version tab let you see a file's status at a glance. These icons appear whether the Version Number column is enabled or not.

When you select a file, the same quick information icons that are used in the Version Number column show the file's status.

The icon appears when you:
  • Do not select a file
  • Select a folder
  • Select multiple files
