Creating Discrete Wires with Auto Route

You can create discrete wires from Routing Options in the Auto Route PropertyManager.

To create discrete wires with auto route:

  1. Open an assembly with connectors.
  2. Click Auto Route (Routing tools toolbar) or Tools > Routing > Routing Tools > Auto Route.
  3. In the Auto Route PropertyManager, under Routing Mode, select Auto-Route or Guidelines.
  4. Under Routing Options, select Create a distinct route for each wire.
  5. If you specified Routing Mode as Auto-Route, select the start and end points of the route on the connectors.
    This creates a discrete wires bundle between two connectors.
  6. If you specified Routing Mode as Guidelines, under Guideline Actions, select Create distinct routes from guidelines.
  7. In the graphics area, select guidelines.
  8. If a discrete wire bundle already exists for the end connector, a confirmation message regarding the junction point appears. Click Yes to create a single junction point of multiple bundles.
