If you own licenses for the following
products,
you can enable the
following
add-ins in SOLIDWORKS Connected by specifying the serial number during installation.
The add-ins include:
- SOLIDWORKS CAM
- SOLIDWORKS Flow Simulation
- SOLIDWORKS Inspection
- SOLIDWORKS MBD
- SOLIDWORKS Plastics
- SOLIDWORKS Simulation
Also specify
the
address
(port@server) of your SolidNetWork (SNL) License
server for network
licenses.
This capability
allows you
to
activate the
add-ins using the SolidNetWork License (SNL) or
stand-alone
licenses in SOLIDWORKS Connected.
The next time you start SOLIDWORKS Connected, load the add-in by clicking . See Add-Ins.
Installing SOLIDWORKS Inspection
When you install SOLIDWORKS Inspection with SOLIDWORKS Connected, the
add-in and the stand-alone app are installed and updated. The stand-alone app offers
the same features as the version installed in the SOLIDWORKS Installation Manager.
You can start the stand-alone app from the desktop shortcut or the Windows
Start menu, but not from the Compass in the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. The stand-alone app also supports the same
activation methods and SNL licensing.
The
3DEXPERIENCE Simulation Designer Role (XSM)
If you assign the 3DEXPERIENCE Simulation
Designer Role (XSM) to a user, SNL installations will use the XSM license when you
add
SOLIDWORKS
Simulation or SOLIDWORKS
Motion. To
use your
SOLIDWORKS
SNL license,
from
the CommandManager, select a different product level from the SOLIDWORKS Simulation list. Then click the SOLIDWORKS Add-Ins tab and click the SOLIDWORKS Simulation list to
choose
a product.
Alternatively, remove the XSM role from the user if you intend to
use
a
SOLIDWORKS
license.
