3DEXPERIENCE Integration Rules Editor

You can create rules to specify which configuration to map to physical products and representations when you update a model to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.

You can save the integration rules to a designated folder.

To open the 3DEXPERIENCE Integration Rules Editor:
  1. Tools > Options > System Options > 3DEXPERIENCE Integration.
  2. Optional: Specify a folder for 3DEXPERIENCE Integration Rules Folder.
  3. Click 3DEXPERIENCE Integration Rules Editor.

Sub-Typing Rules

Sub-type rules let you specify parameters for specific categories within a broader category. For example, Parts could be the upper category, while sub-types could be specific types of parts, such as Nuts, Bolts, or Screws.

Enable a global rule for all non-sub-typed parts Lets you apply a global rule to all non-sub-typed parts or assemblies. If cleared, the software uses the hard-coded logic for all non-sub-typed parts or assemblies. For more information, see Creating Global Rules
ID Incremental number for each sub-type.

Delete Deletes the row.
Sub-Type Name Displays the sub-type name.
Sub-Type Rule Description Displays the rule description.

Configuration Mapping Rules

These options display when you select a sub-type rule.

Single physical product with representations Specifies the configuration to use as the single physical products.
When selected, the parts and assemblies within the scope of that rule should have the mono-physical product status, such as no CAD family in the ConfigurationManager.
  • configuration named
You must enter a configuration name for this option. And you must select either active configuration or first configuration as a secondary configuration to use.

Multiple physical product Displays additional fields for determining which configurations are mapped to physical products for the selected sub-type.
