You
can insert a Smart Fastener into a hole series using this PropertyManager. If you size a
hole series, SOLIDWORKS automatically sizes the related Smart Fasteners. If you modify the
size of the hole series, SOLIDWORKS adjusts the Smart Fastener.
You must install and activate the SOLIDWORKS Toolbox Library to enable the
Smart Fasteners
tab.
To open the Hole Series
Smart Fastener PropertyManager:
Click Hole Series
(Features toolbar) or . Select the Smart Fasteners
tab.
Fastener Options
Place
Fastener |
Inserts a Smart Fastener into the

Automatically updates the
hardware size to the size of the starting hole. |

of the bolt or screw when you add stack hardware such as a washer or

Stack Components

for use under the head of the fastener. Click Add to Top Stack and select
hardware to add to the top stack. |

(Available for through holes
only.) Lists the washers and nuts that you select for use at the end
of the fastener. Click Add to Bottom
Stack and select hardware to add to the bottom
stack. |
Properties
Displays the properties of the hardware selected under Series Components. Available properties vary
depending on the hardware type. You can edit properties such as size and length.
