You can control whether drawing views update automatically if the drawing
is open and you save changes to the related model. You can exclude selected views from the
automatic updates.
To turn
automatic view update on or off in the current drawing:

Right-click the icon at the
top of the FeatureManager design tree and select or clear Automatic
view update.
- If selected, views update automatically if the drawing is open when the
model changes.
- If cleared, views do not update when the model changes.
While a drawing view updates, its icon in the FeatureManager design tree
changes to

. A hatch pattern on a view
boundary indicates that the view is out of date.
- Optional:
To exclude views from automatic update, select one or more
views and, in the PropertyManager, under Automatic
View Update, select Exclude from
automatic update.
The selected views do not update when the model
changes.
When you save the drawing, the settings for Automatic
view update and Exclude from automatic
update are saved within the drawing and remembered from one session
to the next.
