Creating Your Collaborative Space

You save files to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform in a storage area known as a collaborative space. You must have access to a collaborative space before you can use SOLIDWORKS Connected.

To create a collaborative space:

  1. Log in to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
    A progress indicator appears in the top bar that gives information about your connection to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.

  2. On the top bar of the 3DDashboard, click the Compass.
  3. Under Me, click 3DSpace.
  4. In the 3DSpace app, click My Collaborative Spaces > New Collaborative Space.
  5. Specify:
    • Title
    • Description
    • Visibility
    • Family
  6. Click Create.
