Creating Custom Attributes in 3DEXPERIENCE Revision Table Columns

Creating attributes lets you input information in one place.

Custom attributes are similar to SOLIDWORKS file properties. They let you add extra descriptive information to part, assembly, or drawing files. You can store content on the cloud in a collaborative space.

Creating attributes means you only need to input information, such as name, revision, and description, in one place. You create custom attributes in collaborative space and link them in the revision table.

Only users with administrator privileges can access and manage the Collaborative Spaces Control Center. SOLIDWORKS supports custom attributes in the 3DEXPERIENCE revision table that you create using Attribute Management under the Collaborative Spaces Configuration Center.
  1. Click Collaborative Spaces Control Center > Attributes Management > Drawing.
  2. To add a new attribute, click +.
  3. Enter a name for the attribute and click OK.
  4. Click Configuration Deployment.
  5. Under Configuration and Server Utilities, click Upload Index Model with added or Removed Attributes and Reload Server Cache.
  6. Optional: Click CAD Collaboration > SOLIDWORKS.
  7. Optional: Under Drawing, click + and select the attribute you created.
