Searching for Tools To search for tools: Press the S key or click Search Commands in the upper-right corner of the title bar to open the shortcut bar. To customize the S key association with the shortcut bar, click Tools > Customize > Keyboard, search for Shortcut Bar, and under Shortcuts, specify a different shortcut key. In Search All Commands, enter a search query. As you enter a term, a results list appears that continuously updates. For example, when you enter fit, the results list displays the tools that include that sequence of characters. Do one or more of the following: To locate a tool in the user interface, hover over the tool in the results list and click Show Command Location . To run a tool, click the tool, or highlight the tool and press Enter. If a tool cannot run, it is unavailable in the results list and appears lower in the list. For example, many tools can run only when a document is open. To add a tool to a toolbar, drag the tool from the results list and drop it on the toolbar.
