Creating Parts

An administrator can create part files for all listed configurations or add the full list of configurations to the master part file.

Administrators cannot create configurations in SOLIDWORKS Connected.

To create parts:

  1. In the Task Pane, on the Design Library tab, click Configure Toolbox .
  2. In Tools > Options > System Options > Hole Wizard/Toolbox, under Hole Wizard and Toolbox folder, click Configure.
  3. Click 2 - Customize Your Hardware.
  4. On the Customize Hardware page, select a single component.
  5. At the upper right of the configuration list, click Import/Export and select Create parts.
Part files are created in the part folder specified on the User Settings page.
