SOLIDWORKS Inspection
templates let you save and reapply settings for reuse. SOLIDWORKS Inspection has project
templates and report templates.
Project templates store settings such as default tolerances, project
properties, Optical Character Recognition (OCR) settings, ballooning options, default
measurement units, and default export templates.
When you start a new project, you choose a project template. Different
settings apply based on the
template
you choose.
For example, if your inspection project balloons are correctly set up and
the default tolerances are set up for your internal drawing standards, you only need two
of the reports templates provided. If you save the drawing as a project template, each
time you start a new project and select the project template, your project settings are
applied.
If you work with different clients, you can save a project template for each client with
options specific to that client.
