Mapping Document Tokens to Report Templates

To map document tokens to report templates:

  1. In the SOLIDWORKS Inspection - Template Editor dialog box, select Document Token.
  2. Select a document token:
    Created by  
    Date Created Export date of the inspection report.
    Document Name  
    Document Number  
    Document Revision  
    Drawing Filename  
    Drawing Filepath  
    Inspection Level Inspection level defined in ANSI Z1.4.
    Inspection Type Inspection type defined in ANSI Z1.4.
    Job # Job number associated with the inspection sheet.
    Lot Size Number of units to create in the batch/run associated with the inspection sheet.
    Part Name  
    Part Number  
    Part Revision  
    Vendor Vendor that supplies the piece to inspect.

    You can use this field for other information. You can rename the cell label in Microsoft® Excel®. The label on the Create Inspection Sheet remains Vendor.

  3. In Microsoft Excel, click the cell in the template where you want to map the tag.
  4. In the SOLIDWORKS Inspection - Template Editor dialog box, click Insert.
