- Updating Models for 3DEXPERIENCE Compatibility
You can update models for compatibility with the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. For models that reference other components, you can choose to include those references in the update.
- Assign PLM Attributes to Custom Properties
3DEXPERIENCE users can assign product lifecycle management (PLM) attributes to custom properties using $PLMPRP, if the Administrator has defined attribute mapping.
- Saving Multiple SOLIDWORKS Files to the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform
You can upload and save multiple folders containing SOLIDWORKS files to a collaborative space using the Batch Save to 3DEXPERIENCE add-in.
- Autonaming
Autonaming generates unique Titles for new or existing SOLIDWORKS parts, assemblies, and drawings when you save them to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. Autonaming does not change the original file names. The system administrator activates autonaming on the server side.
- Renaming a Title
For parts, assemblies, and drawings, the Design with SOLIDWORKS app lets you give a document a title that is different from the file name.
- Exposing Parameters for Parametric Design Improvement Studies
You can expose parameters in a SOLIDWORKS model for use as variables in parametric design improvement studies on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. These parameters are like all other 3DEXPERIENCE Knowledgeware parameters and are used in the Optimization set up.
