You can
expose
parameters in
a
SOLIDWORKS model
for use as variables
in parametric design improvement studies on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
These parameters are like
all other 3DEXPERIENCE Knowledgeware parameters and are used in the Optimization set
up.
You
can specify model dimensions and global variables
as
parameters. If your model contains sensors, they are also included
with the parameters when you import the data to the platform.
To
expose
parameters for
parametric design improvement
studies:
-
In the FeatureManager Design Tree, right-click Equations and click
Add/Edit Parameters.
-
In the Parameters dialog
box, enter a name for the parameter.
- Optional:
To define a parameter for a model dimension, select a driving
dimension in the graphics area.
- Optional:
To define a parameter for a global variable, select a global
variable from the list.
To transfer these parameters in the 3DEXPERIENCE
platform,
use the Parameter
Bridge command.
