Visualize Boost Window

Machine Name Shows the name of the current machine.
IP Address Shows the IP Address of the primary network adapter on the machine. Click to copy it to the Clipboard.
Nodes Connected Visible when the instance of Visualize Boost functions as a Coordinator. Displays the number of connected Nodes.
Nodes Details Displays the Machine name, IP Address, GPU, VRAM, and CPU of each machine running Visualize Boost.
Visualize Connected Visible when Visualize Boost functions as a Coordinator. Displays the number of connected instances of SOLIDWORKS Visualize clients.
Visualize Details Displays the Machine name, IP Address, and User name of each SOLIDWORKS Visualize client.
Render Mode Visible when Visualize Boost is rendering. Cancels the current render.
Status Displays the current cluster status:
  • Idle (Cluster)
  • Connected (Node)
  • Disconnected (Node)
  • Rendering
  • Error
  • Disabled (Node)

Nodes Details

Machine Name Lists the name of the machine.
IP Address Lists the IP address of the primary network adapter on the machine.
GPU Lists the use of CUDA-enabled NVIDIA graphics processor units (GPUs) on your computer.
VRAM Lists the use of video RAM available on your computer.
CPU Lists the use of the central processing units (CPUs) on your computer.

Visualize Details

Machine Name Lists the name of the machine.
IP Address Lists the IP address of the primary network adapter on the machine.
User Lists the name of the user for the computer.

File Menu

Cancel Render Displays if a render is in progress. Instantly stops the current render.
Enable/Disable Node Instructs Visualize Boost to add or remove the current machine from render clusters. The current status shows in the displayed option.
History Opens the Visualize Boost History window.
Settings Opens the Visualize Boost Settings window.
Hide to Toolbar Closes the main Visualize Boos window but keeps the app running in the background, accessible through the toolbar.
Exit Shuts the Visualize Boost app.

Help Menu

Boost Help Opens the Visualize Boost online help.
Check for Updates Opens the SOLIDWORKS Update manager.
Activate License (Node-locked licenses) Uses the SOLIDWORKS Product Activation wizard to activate the product.
Deactivate License (Node-locked licenses) Uses the SOLIDWORKS Product Activation wizard to deactivate the product.
Boost Displays the version number and licensing information of Visualize Boost.

Settings

Language Selection of the current interface language. The operating system sets the default language.
Launch on Startup Determines if Visualize Boost should start automatically on startup. Enabled by default.
Mode Selects whether Visualize Boost is running in Coordinator or Node mode.
Coordinator IP Address Visible when Visualize Boost functions as a Node. Shows the IP address of the Coordinator to which this Node connects.
Coordinator Boost Port The network port to use when connecting to the Coordinator. For the Coordinator, it specifies the port on which it hosts the connection on. For Nodes, it determines which port it connects to.
Local DStellar Port Visible if Visualize Boost is set to Coordinator. Shows the network port where the machine's instance of DStellar hosts a connection.
Render Device CPU Enable Determines if this machine renders on the CPU.
Render Device CPU Load Widget Determines the amount of CPU available for rendering. Enabled if CPU rendering is selected.
GPU Selection List Determines which GPUs are available to renders
Notifications Enabled Displays progress messages in the Windows notification area.
Apply Applies the current settings to Visualize Boost.
Export Saves the current settings to an .xml file.
Import Loads the current settings from an .xml file.

History

Render History List Visible if Visualize Boost is set to Coordinator. Lists previous renders submitted to this Coordinator. The list includes Job Name, User Name, Elapsed Time, Date and Time of Submission, and the Job Status (Completed, Aborted, Error, Completed with warnings.)

DStellar.Boost Notification Area

The DStellar.Boost appears briefly when a render begins and when an error occurs. See DStellar.Boost in Windows Notification Area.

Status Display Shows the status of the software.
Cancel Render Visible if Visualize Boost is rendering. Cancels current render.
Enable/Disable Node Instructs Visualize Boost to include or exclude the current machine from render clusters until enabled.
Show/Hide Window Opens and closes the Visualize Boost window.
Exit Shuts down Visualize Boost.
